Internet Scams
Internet scams are prevalent and everyone must be aware of them. Looking up a business on the Better Business Bureau data system is no guarantee that the business in question is legitimate. Why? Because if the business in question pays their yearly dues to be a member of the BBB, there will be no adverse data against this business. One must be alert in preventing becoming a victim in an Internet scam. How?
Filing a report on a business is the first step. If their is a report on a particular business, chances are someone will read this report and avoid becoming the next victim. The best place to file a report on a business is http://ripoffreport.com. Here you can look up any questionable business trade practices about a business. If someone else has fallen prey to this business, chances are there will be a report on this business. This is the website that will list any wrong-doings of a business.
The list below are some scams that I have been made aware of. If you know of any others, please submit your experience or knowledge about them here. It is our sole purpose to make everyone aware of these scams to make the Internet a safer place, for us, our children, and everyone throughout the world!
